Not only do we draw Heavenly Chi in through the Crown point, we also practiceopening this point as a doorway for the soul and spirit to leave at the time of death. Some people have never closed their crown from infancy. The rest of us must practice so this doorway is clear. If you exit through the crown, you need not return to Earth after you die; you cancontinue to the heavenly realms. But to do so, you need to practice opening thecrown well before death. The back part of the crown—Kun Lun Mountain—connects to the pineal gland inthe brain and is the doorway by which the soul and spirit depart for the North Star at the time of death (fig. 11.6). The North Star is the easiest gateway to enter heaven, as it is aligned with the axis of the Earth and the North and South Poles. Likewise, when we become aligned with the axis in our body, we become aligned with the violet light of the North Star, the violet light of unconditional love. The middle of the crown connects with the hypothalamus and is the pathway tothe Big Dipper. The light of the Big Dipper is a vibrant red, which reflects the vitalityof the life force manifesting.
